As per some information is available on the social sites and media, Google has suspended some businesses with Huawei, the Chinese telecom giant. Google suspended businesses that require hardware and software transfer as well as some technical services. However, those services that are publicly available via open source licensing are still in their hand. A source familiar with the subject informed Reuters on Sunday. The US government, Donald Trump has always been tried to blacklist the Chinese telecom company from all over the world.
However, the users of Huawei phones are still able to use Google apps, download their updates, as said by a Google spokesperson to Reuters. “We are complying with the order and reviewing the implications,”- said he, “For users of our services, Google Play and the security protections from Google Play Protect will continue to function on existing Huawei devices,”.
However, the spokesperson gave no further information regarding the same.
On Thursday, Donald Trump administration has added the Chinese brand to a trade blacklist. Moreover, they instantly restricted their business with US counterparts. Though, it was not yet clear by then if Huawei would still able to access to some of the mobile software or not. It is not yet clear how much the decision will hurt the global supply of the Chinese brand. Some experts have also questioned whether Chin will be able to continue without US help. According to the source and the spokesperson said on Friday, discussion about the effect of the suspension is still going on privately at Gooogle.
However, Huawei users can still use the services available through the open source license such as the Android Open Source Project. But Google will stop providing the Chinese brand technical and software support that involves the proprietary apps and services.
