BSNL is launching new plans to attract customers. And on the other side, BSNL has now stopped the unlimited calling on its popular prepaid plans. The telecom operator has changed the unlimited calling benefits to the daily calling limit. Earlier BSNL was offering unlimited calling to anywhere in India but now the calling is only on 250 minutes per day.
No More Unlimited Calling On BSNL Combo Plans
As per the reports of the TelecomTalk, BSNL has issued a new notification in which the telecom operator has said that the BSNL 186 prepaid plan, 429 plan, 485 plan, 666 plan, and 1699 plan will not offer unlimited calls, Calls will be free but limited to 250 minutes per day. The free minutes in the plan include the local calls, STD calls and roaming calls to any network.
If a user will call beyond the daily calling limit then the user will be charged at the base-tariff. The base tariff of BSNL is 1 paisa per second. To recall, Reliance Jio was the first operator who started offering truly unlimited calling in 2016. After that Airtel & Vodafone starts offering free calling but with capping on calls.
After few months Airtel and Vodafone also removed the daily and weekly limit and started offering unlimited calling to anywhere in India. Now Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, Jio offers free and unlimited calling to anywhere in India.
