Poco is all set to launch its next 5G smartphone i.e Poco X5 5G in India next week. The phone will launch in India on 14th March. The Chinese smartphone company confirmed the launch date of Poco X5 5G on Thursday with a video teaser. The new Poco X-series smartphone appears to have three different colour options and is expected to come with a budget price tag. Poco unveiled Poco X5 5G in select global markets in February.
Poco X5 5G India Launch Date
The official Poco India Twitter account teased the upcoming launch of the Poco X5 5G. The launch event will take place on March 14 at 12pm (noon) and will be livestreamed on YouTube. It is confirmed that it will be available for purchase on Flipkart. The teaser video shows us the smartphone for the first time and suggests at least three colour variants, but without going into detail.
Poco X5 India Price & Specifications
The Poco X5 5G was released in select global markets last month, with the top-end variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costing $289 (roughly Rs. 24,700). It is available in three colours: black, blue, and green. The Indian variant is expected to cost less than Rs. 20,000.
The Poco X5 5G runs Android 12-based MIUI 13 and has a 6.67-inch AMOLED full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The selfie shooter is housed in a hole-punched cutout on the display. It is equipped with a Snapdragon 695 SoC and up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
The Poco X5 5G has a triple rear camera unit with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel sensor for optics. There is also a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies. It also has up to 256GB of UFS2.2 storage. It has a fingerprint sensor on the side for authentication and supports the face unlock feature.
