Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the BS-VI compliant petrol engine. And now the upcoming Dzire car in the market will come up with this engine. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is now compliant with the BS-VI engine and that is the reason why MSIL has increased the price of the car. The price hike is about Rs 12,690. This is due to the compliance of the new safety and emission norms.
New Price of Maruti Suzuki Dzire
The use of BS-VI engine (petrol) in the Dzire will increase the price of all Petrol engine variant of Dzire. As said above, there will be a rise in the price of Rs 12690. After this hike, the Ex-Showroom price will vary from Rs 5,82,613 to Rs 9,57,622. Earlier, the price was in the range of 5,69,923 to Rs 9,54,522.
After the Maruti Suzuki Swift, the carmaker has now modernized the Maruti Suzuki Dzire with a Bharat Stage VI or BS6 compliant petrol engine and renewed safety points. The same BS6 compliant 1.2-litre K12B petrol engine which has previously been included in the Baleno facelift, Swift, and Wagon R 1.2 Moreover, both the petrol and diesel versions of the car have been updated to adhere to the AIS-145 Safety Norms as well.
The BS6 petrol Maruti Suzuki Dzire will have the same 1197 cc, four-cylinder petrol engine that is tuned to churn out 82 bhp. The diesel model will continue using the BS4 compliant 1.3-litre DDIS motor, Both engines comes with the 5-speed manual gearbox and optional Auto Gear Shift (AGS) unit.
