Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is continuously launching new prepaid plans to attract new users and in between all these moves, the telecom operator has also made two new moves which are surely not the good one for the users. The first one is the move on the plan 99. In this BSNL has decreased the validity of the plan from 26 days to 24 days. The second move is on the sim replacement charges. The telecom operator has changed the sim replacement charges from Rs 10 to Rs 100. Here are the details.
BSNL Prepaid Plan 99 Validity Changed
According to the reports of TelecomTalk, the state run-telecom operator has decreased the validity of the voice only prepaid plan 99. BSNL 99 plan is a voice only plan that offers free calling to its users. Earlier the plan 99 of BSNL was offering 26 days validity and now after making changes in the plan, the telecom operator is now offering only 24 days validity which is 2 days less.
Last year Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited launched the voice only prepaid plan 99 and 319 for prepaid users. But the telecom operator has only made changes in the 99 plan and the 319 plan remains the same. The 319 prepaid plan of BSNL offers 90 days validity.
BSNL Increased Sim Replacement Charges
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has also made changes in the sim replacement charges. The telecom operator has hiked the charges for the sim replacement from Rs 10 to Rs 100. Earlier, the charges for the sim replacement was Rs 10 while no it is Rs 100. This means the telecom operator has hiked the sim replacement charges by 10 times. The price for the sim replacement is the same for the postpaid and prepaid users.
The telecom operator is offering 4GB sim cards in various circles at the price of Rs 19 and it is not yet known whether the changes in the sim replacement is applicable on this too or not.
